One person was killed early Tuesday in a mobile-home fire in Haines City, authorities said.
The fire broke out at 9330 Lake Marion Creek Road just after midnight. Firefighters said half of the mobile home was engulfed in flames when they arrived, according to Polk County Fire Rescue and the Haines City Fire Department.
One person managed to make it out of the home safely. The body of the other person inside was found in a hallway. Officials have not released the victim's name.
It took firefighters about 90 minutes to put out the fire.
