A Kissimmee man has been charged with impersonating an officer.

Deputies say Marcos Felix Hernandez-Gonzalez, 35, conducted an illegal traffic stop on the victim by flashing his headlights and beeping the horn at Clay Pit Road and Lemon Avenue in Seffner on Monday. They say he also stole the victim’s wallet, car keys, and cell phone.

Deputies say fingerprints found on the victim’s vehicle matched those of Hernandez-Gonzalez, who was positively identified as the suspect via a photo lineup.

Hernandez-Gonzalez was arrested in Polk County and booked into the Polk County Jail earlier this morning. He’s also charged with robbery with a firearm, armed kidnapping with a firearm, and grand theft.

Additionally, Hernandez-Gonzalez has also been charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer in Haines City.

Deputies are asking the public to take a close look at Hernandez-Gonzalez and to contact their local law enforcement agency if they have had any contact or know of someone who may have had contact with Hernandez-Gonzalez while he was impersonating a law enforcement officer.
