A US Air Force pilot, stationed at MacDill AirForce Base, is accused of trying to have sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Captain Christopher Everding, 27, was arrested May 22nd as part of a child sex sting operation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

According to the criminal complaint, Everding responded to an ad on a website for those who have a sexual interest in animals. An undercover agent, who posed as a father of a 13-year-old girl, posted the ad.

According to the complaint, Everding responded as "kinkyguy." First, he requested a picture of the child and then he allegedly sent a lengthy email describing what he wanted to do to the preteen.

In the affidavit, investigators wrote "he wanted to choke and pull the child's hair, because he likes to be dominant."

Everding traveled from Tampa to Brevard County and met the undercover agent. He was arrested after admitting to sending the emails.

Everding allegedly told authorities "he had never done anything like this before." He also said he drove from Tampa to Brevard County so "no one would get hurt."

In a statement, a spokesman from MacDill AirForce Base said "the 6th Air Mobility wing and the Air Force take these allegations very seriously."

Everding is currently in jail. He is facing 10 years to life in prison.
