A 46-year-old man is accused of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl and driving across several states to make her his "sex slave," investigators said.

John Rush, of Missouri, was arrested in Kentucky and charged with kidnapping after picking up a Polk County teen and driving off with her.

According to reports, the teen's parents had reported that she had been missing early on Thursday morning.

"To show how he was going to mentally and emotionally take advantage of this child, he took this child from the home of her parents after arriving from Missouri and the child already had these rules," said Sheriff Grady Judd.

The details of the teen and Rush’s online communication includes an email with a list of rules and punishments.

"This child is being taken into slavery," Judd said. "You’re responsible for keeping the house clean, you’re responsible for menu planning and food preparation and I’m just skipping through them because some of them are sexual in nature and we’re not going to talk about them."

Judd said the girl’s parents thought she ran away from home, but thanks to some good police work they tracked her down with Rush in Kentucky, where they took him into custody.

The teen’s parents are headed to Kentucky to be reunited with their daughter.

Rush will be held in the McCracken County Jail and will be extradited to Polk County at a later date.
