The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect who robbed a New Port Richey 7-11 store Monday morning.

According to deputies, the suspect was armed with a rifle when he entered the 7-11 at US Highway 19 and Moog Road just before 2 a.m.

Authorities said the suspect displayed the rifle, possibly a .22-caliber bolt action model, and told the cashier to empty the register.

The cashier did so and handed over an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies said the suspect was dressed in an olive green long sleeve t-shirt with a hunting related logo on the back, faded jeans, and a camouflage hat.

Officials said the suspect ran off towards Moog Road and Pinehurst Drive.
