Public workshop on Frostproof fire dept. set for Monday

Frostproof residents will get the chance to express their views about the city's fire department before the city council convenes Monday night.

Before the regular meeting at 6 p.m., a public workshop to discuss the fire department will be held at 4:30 p.m.

Earlier this year, the council voted to  begin the process of passing along fire protection services to Polk Fire Rescue. But some residents have said they oppose that approach.
