A 34-year-old Auburndale man was killed early Tuesday in a motorcycle crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Donald Dewitt Smith was killed at 12:30 a.m. while riding his Honda motorcycle on eastbound Interstate 4 in Polk County.
Troopers said Smith's motorcycle collided with the back of a semi truck being driven by Cory Donnette, 35, of Mulberry. Smith was ejected from motorcycle and died at the scene.
Donnette was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
