The low pressure off the South Carolina coastline has been given a name – “Subtropical Storm Ana.”

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Brian McClure, it will not have an impact on our region.

"It will be nearly stationary just east of Charleston, SC the next couple days and then slowly drift over land and eventually move northeast by early next week," McClure said.

It will result in cloudy, rainy, breezy conditions for the Carolina coastline.

"They will have some rough surf with minor beach erosion but this is not a huge storm," McClure said. "It will mainly just be pesky because it will sit still for so long."
