Two brothers from Brooksville are back in town after an unbelievable adventure.

Andrew and Matt Sufficool just finished a 17,000 mile bike ride from the northern coast of Alaska to the tip of South America.

"Hey, you only live once," said Matt. "We are not married. We don't have kids. Let's do it."

"The bad days usually make the better stories," said Andrew. "You remember the hard struggles but then the good times are what make it enjoyable."

The trip took a year.

"The mission was basically let's try and get as far as we can today," said Matt.

They traveled 60 miles a day on average, and had everything they needed packed onto their bikes.

"Clothes, sleeping bags, tents, cooking equipment," Matt said. "Some medicine."

The highest point of the trip was a little over 15,000 feet.

"There were definitely some moments out there you wanted to quit," said Andrew.

But they didn't. They kept in touch with family and friends when they could using Skype, Facetime and email. For the most part they didn't run into any trouble. Both brothers miss being on the road, but they are glad to be back.

"It is always good to be back home," said Matt.

The two brothers haven't figured out what their next adventure will be yet.
