A Citrus County woman has an amazing story to tell.

Linda Sandstrom spent a good part of her life working alongside Hollywood greats and appearing in Hollywood blockbusters. When she looks at pictures from the past, her mind floats back to a time when her life was filled with glitz and glamor. A time she worked with people like Al Pacino, and was on the cover of magazines.

"I will be honest with you," she said. "One of my fears was the fear of being normal. I never wanted to be normal."

Linda is an actress and for decades she appeared on the big screen, on television and on stage. She did soap operas like "All My Children" and TV shows like "Law and Order."

"If you don't really want it, really want it, try something else because it's not easy and it hurts," she said.

It's the movie business she misses the most. Linda was in several films like "The Godfather" and "Scent of a Woman." She hung around with stars like Bob Hope, James Caan and Tony Bennett. She knew Bruce Willis as a bartender before he made it big.

"He had his days," she said. "He was a little moody you know. You could see he kind of, his mind was elsewhere. He was ready to move on."

Linda is from New York City. She got her start early on as a model and then moved into the acting world. Now she leads a quiet life in Homosassa surrounded by wonderful memories, but the acting bug has not gone away.

"I was right in the thick of it," Linda said.

Linda is still a member of the Screen Actors Guild and she actually was a judge for the Academy Awards last spring.
