The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of three dead people at a hotel in Venice.
According to deputies, hotel employees found three bodies at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at 2935 Executive Drive.
Officials say it appears as though the deaths are the result of a double homicide and suicide.
The bodies are those of a man, his wife and his mother, deputies said.
Officials said an investigation is ongoing. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
