The very warm and humid will continue for the next several days.

We have this reverse summertime pattern in play, and what that means is we have some showers on our side of the state in the morning and those moved over to the other side of the state in the afternoon and the evening. That's opposed to our typical late-day storms on the west coast.

Breezy west winds today will continue through Sunday.  Deep onshore flow has allowed small fast-moving showers and storms to start in the Gulf and move east across the state.

Temperatures stayed around normal with heat indices from 95-101.  A cold front in the Southeast US will slide south into extreme north Florida tonight.  This will increase our rain chances Sunday and especially Monday.  Small showers and storms will be possible in the Gulf tonight, especially west of Citrus and Hernando Counties.

These will move onshore late tonight and early Sunday.  Rain chances for Sunday will be 40 percent for Citrus, Hernando and Pasco Counties to about 30 percent elsewhere.  Areas north of Tampa will be closer to that cold front and upper-level energy, so rain chances will be higher there Sunday, Sunday night and Monday.
