The Manatee County Sheriff’s office is investigating the theft of a Confederate flag caught on camera.
Detectives say over the past several days, a video of someone stealing a Confederate flag from a Bradenton home, has been circulating on social and mainstream media.
On Tuesday, a Manatee County resident contacted the sheriff's office to report that his Confederate flag was taken over the weekend, and that he saw video of the theft on the internet.
Investigators said they confirmed that the flag was stolen from the man's home.
