A Tampa woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after officials said she was driving the wrong way on I-4 and nearly crashed into a deputy.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Laurie Lynn Oneal, 54, was driving west on eastbound I-4 in the area of Hwy 579 around 3 a.m. when a deputy spotted her coming.
The deputy did a U-turn and pulled Oneal over, who was going 50 to 60 miles per hour.
Deputies said he smelled alcohol on Oneal's breath, and conducted a DUI investigation.
Oneal was charged with felony DUI (fourth subsequent violation), driving while license suspended and refusal to submit to testing.
Oneal has at least two prior arrests for driving under the influence out of Hillsbourough and Pinellas counties.
