If you live in Davenport and worry about crowded classrooms, get ready for a new K-8 school.

Construction has already started on the 200,000-square-foot school, which is going to be located off of San Mine Road.

Polk County school leaders say 1,400 students are expected to attend school at the $43 million building.

The school hasn’t been named yet, but leaders say it’s supposed to be up and running at the beginning of the 2016 school year.
