Police are looking for two suspects who stole eight guitars from a Winter Haven music store.

The theft happened at Carlton's Music, located at 308 Avenue D NW, at 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

Two suspects were seen lurking around the covered parking area next to the store, then hiding in front of the parked vans when vehicles on the road passed by.

Police said the suspects made their way around the building, then broke the glass on the front door and went into the showroom.

Surveillance video shows the pair heading to the guitar area. Police say they leave two minutes later with eight guitars: four Taylors, three Fenders and one Ibanez. The suspects are then seen running across the parking lot towards the alleyway that leads to Avenue C NW.

Police said one of the suspects was wearing a camouflage shirt, light-colored shorts, dark shoes and gloves. The other was wearing a light-colored shirt, dark shorts, dark shoes and something over his face. Both suspects were wearing gloves and had their heads covered.

The only physical description offered is that both suspects have thin builds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
