A jury convicted a Seffner man of murdering his wife and setting her body on fire inside a car to destroy the evidence.

Christopher Belcher had no reaction when the clerk read the jury's verdict.

Belcher fought with his wife Gwendolyn the night she went missing in September 2012. Her body was found days later in a vehicle parked in rural area in Seffner.

Gwendolyn's family packed the courtroom every day of the week long trial.

"It's still hard," said Re'Kale Hill, the victim's daughter. "But with justice you can move forward knowing he can't do this to anyone else."

Gwendolyn's daughter described the 43-year-old as the backbone of the large and tight-knit family. Her other daughter Octavia Hill hopes the public learns from her mother's story.

Octavia Hill said her mother told her she was being abused by her husband, but never left. She wishes her mother got help.

The entire family will be back in court July 29 as Belcher is sentenced for the crime. He's charged with second-degree murder, which could carry up to a life sentence in prison.
