The Clearwater Beach Hilton is closed temporarily after a fire Tuesday morning.

According to fire officials, a small fire broke out in a electrical panel around 3:30 a.m.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but sections of the building remained without power. Officials said water seeped into an electrical room and caused a short circuit.

Hotel guests were evacuated to the parking garage. There were no injuries.

"We all got up and struggled downstairs," said hotel guest Ray Cross, from Georgia. "Then everybody evacuated the building and they told us they had an electrical fire in there."

The hotel is closed until an electrical engineer checks out the repairs.

The fire remains under investigation.
