An 18-year-old Tampa man has been arrested in the death of a transgender woman whose body was found last week.
According to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Keith Lamayne Gaillard turned himself into detectives Wednesday morning.
Gaillard had an outstanding arrest warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Detectives wanted to question Gaillard in the death of 25-year-old India Clarke, who was found shot to death on July 21 at the University Community Park at 14013 N. 22nd Street in Tampa.
Officials said Gaillard and Clarke new each other.
Gaillard has been charged with first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
