Shots were fired in a Tampa apartment complex parking lot overnight, and one of the bullets entered a bedroom were a 14-year-old girl was sleeping, police said.
The incident happened early Wednesday at the Silver Oaks Apartments, 4220 Kenneth Court, in the Hillsborough Avenue area of East Tampa. The girl was not injured.
Police said several shots were fired and bullets hit at least two cars. Another bullet entered a third-floor apartment were the girl was sleeping.
Police found no injured people or witnesses at the scene and came up empty in a check of local hospitals to see if anyone had been treated for a gunshot wound.
