An elderly Hernando County woman is proving you are never too old to have fun.

When it comes to bowling, Winnie Grafe does not mess around. Knocking down pins at Brooksville Lanes is something she loves to do and she's been doing it since 1975.

"Your thumb at the top of the ball and just take it easy," Grafe said.

Winnie is not letting her age get in the way of anything. Believe it or not, she is just about to turn 96 years old. That's hard to believe when you watch her.

"I don't believe it much myself," she said. "I've always been active no matter what. Walking, riding a bike, roller skating."

Winnie is still a sharp bowler. We watched her get three spares in a row. Once she got seven strikes in a row.

"My husband was alive and bowling with me at that time and he was scratching his head every time I got another strike," she said.

Winnie has some advice for those that don't get out of the house much.

"Come out and watch," she said. "That's the only way you will get attached to it. I'm not going to give up anything I don't have to."

Winnie likes to go bowling at least once a week and she is always up for giving a lesson.
