A fundraising event has been arranged to assist former USF men’s basketball player B.B. Waldon, who was injured in a serious car accident in late April.

USF Athletics, along with Waldon’s former coaches and teammates, including current ESPN analyst Seth Greenberg, have pulled together to assist in making a long road to recovery a little easier by raising money for Waldon’s mounting medical bills.

The Sun Dome will host an alumni basketball game on Saturday at 3 p.m. The event is free to attend, but a cash donation would be greatly appreciated. Following the game, there will be a silent auction and meet-and-greet at Ferg’s Live at 7 p.m.

Ferg’s Live is located at 490 Channelside Drive in Tampa, near Amalie Arena.

Donations to the B.B. Waldon Fund can be sent electronically to GoFundMe.com or by mail to B.B. Waldon Fund, P.O. Box 6969, Brandon, Fla., 33508.

Waldon (1998-02) is USF’s all-time leader in rebounding with 928 career boards. The former Kathleen High School standout from Lakeland also ranks fourth at USF with 1,869 points.
