The storms delayed fireworks in Tampa Bay for July 4, but eventually folks got to see their patriotic shows.
Storms forced delays to the fireworks show at Channelside in Tampa. Fireworks shows in Clearwater and St. Pete were delayed because of the weather.
Storms moved slowly so there were some high rain totals…Inverness, Zephyrhills and Lowry Park Zoo with 3". Small hail fell in Inverness and Zephyrhills. Winds gusted to 40 mph at MacDill.
The next couple days look similar. High temperatures will be in the low 90s near the coast to mid 90s inland. Storms will begin in the early afternoon and last into the evening. The rain chance for Sunday and Monday will be 60 percent.
