A 61-year-old man riding a moped was seriously injured when a driver of a Toyota made a U-turn in front of him Friday evening, authorities said.
Steven Lardie of Bradenton was ejected from his moped after crashing into the Toyota on State Road 70 just west of 8th Street Court W. He was taken Blake Medical Center.
The driver of the Toyota, Karina Ramirez, 24, of Bradenton had been headed west on SR 70 when she attempted the U-Turn. She was cited for making an improper turn.
