A 29-year-old woman was killed early Monday in Spring Hill in a crash involving a semi.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Christine Dimple Tiwari was driving a 2014 Jeep Patriot SUV southbound on U.S. 19 approaching Toucan Trail just before 1 a.m.
Troopers said a semi traveling east Toucan Trail turned south onto U.S. 19. Tiwari's vehicle could not stop in time and crashed into the back of the semi's trailer.
Tiwari, of Wellington, died at the scene.
The driver of the semi, 31-year-old Javier Avila of Bartow, was not injured.
