One of the victims in Thursday's double homicide in Carrollwood has been identified.

The body of Myriam Dienes, 56, was found in a driveway on Fennsbury Drive just after 9:30 p.m. Deputies also found a man inside the home next door. Both victims had died from upper-body trauma, officials said.

Neighbor Lee Reynolds said she heard a loud noise while she was in her home. She and her husband went outside to find deputies swarming her neighbor's house.

"[Dienes] is a reserve Naval captain," Reynolds said. "She had just arrived back from a weekend of reserve duty."

Deputies have not yet identified the man.

The pair's killer is still on the loose, and deputies are investigating. The sheriff's office has confiscated evidence from inside and outside the home, and even used divers to scour the lake behind the home.

Sheriff David Gee said his team is keeping many details close to the vest, but he did tell neighbors that it is not a random crime.

"I think it's going to turn out, like most of these things, that it's going to be related to someone in their circle," he said.

Gee said he's not aware of any previous calls to the home. He said he also believes that the two victims shared a home together, but he is waiting on the medical examiner to identify the man's body.
