A teenager was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a three-vehicle crash in Spring Hill.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 14-year-old boy was a passenger in a car that was involved in a crash at Mariner and Wexler boulevards just before 7 a.m.

Troopers said when the teen got out of his car after the crash, he was struck by another vehicle. The boy's injuries appear to be non-life threatening, according to troopers.

Multiple ambulances were called to the scene. Mariner Boulevard was shut down to allow for a helicopter to land and airlift the boy to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

Details of the crash have not been released.
