A Spring Hill mother was arrested on Sunday after deputies said she left her 3-year-old alone for over four hours while she went out to drink.
According to reports, Traci Lynn Arcarola, 26, left the child at home with the front door left partially open around 5 p.m. to go out with friends.
Officials said a resident of the home discovered the child sleeping around 9:30 p.m. and was unable to reach Arcarola.
Arcarola returned to the house around midnight and admitted to officers that she left the child alone and it was "a stupid thing to do."
Arcarola was charged with child neglect.
