Sunday's heavy rain caused some road flooding in Tampa and officials are on guard for more today.

A flood watch remains in effect until 8 p.m.

According to city of Tampa officials, at least 15 roads were flooded at times on Sunday, including Osborne Avenue between Central and Nebraska avenues.

Crews put out traffic barrels and signs urging drivers to be cautious and pumps were brought in to a neighborhood located at Hillsborough Avenue and 45th Street.

Most of Sunday's flood waters receded overnight but residents are still stocking up on sandbags to protect homes and businesses.

Hillsborough County officials also are being proactive today as the remnants of Tropical Storm Erika are expected to bring showers to the region this week.

Any rain this week comes with a flood risk.

That has led to rivers across the Bay area being monitored as most are at risk of hitting flood stage by the middle of this week.
