A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Thursday night in St. Petersburg.

According to police, Justin Dillon Lundy, 19, was traveling east in the 5900 Block of 1st Avenue South at 8:30 p.m. when he collided with a bicycle.

A bicyclist, identified as Charles Ford, was trying to cross 1st Avenue South when the crashed happened.

Police said Ford rode into the path of the 2003 Honda motorcycle, resulting in a collision which knocked him onto the sidewalk. Ford was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life threatening injuries.

Lundy, who suffered serious injuries, also was transported  to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
