Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the mid to upper 70s.

Earlier today, parts of Pinellas and Pasco counties had between 1-3 inches of rain.

Wednesday will start with a few storms near the coast of Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco County. 

Otherwise expect partly sunny skies for the morning. The afternoon will feature a 40 percent coverage of scattered storms that drift inland.

Highs will be near 90.

Record rainfall

We had the third wettest August on record with 16.47 inches of rain. That is 8.70 inches above normal.

This year's rainfall in Tampa tied 1960 with the wettest July and August combined since forecasters began keeping records in 1890.

We had our fifth wettest summer on record.
