A Miami man is facing charges after authorities say he passed out in his car at a central Florida KFC drive-thru.

Stuart police say an officer responded to the fried chicken restaurant Sunday night and found 32-year-old Scott Shypula asleep in a Chevrolet Camaro. Police say Shypula had a can of compressed air in his hand and several other cans throughout the car.

Officials say Shypula awoke when the officer leaned in to turn off the car and began to drive away, dragging the officer a short distance. Shypula then pulled over and was taken into custody.

Treasure Coast Newspapers reports that Shypula was being held in police custody at a nearby hospital. He was charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, fleeing and eluding and inhaling a harmful substance.
