The dead man found floating in the water near the St. Petersburg Pier Wednesday night has been identified as a 69-year-old man.
A security guard spotted the body of a partially clothed man just before 10 p.m. The man's body was located in the area just south of the pier at 800 2nd Avenue NE.
Police identified the man as Eddie Lee Foster.
According to officers, there were no signs of foul play or any injuries indicating that anything violent had occurred.
An investigation is ongoing.
