The Florida Department of Education says the 2015 Florida Standards Assessment test results will be used in teacher evaluations and to issue school grades.

The rankings compare districts to each other, ranking them in quartiles.

Some districts question the scores.

"There’s so many questions that we have about the assessment,” said Polk County Superintendent Kathryn LeRoy. "About the validity, about the impact of the technology glitches that we had in the Spring when children took the test."

Top 25% in Language Arts, Grades 3-10

Bottom 25% in Math

Bottom 25% in English Language Arts

LeRoy says the quartile numbers are misleading because they represent multiple achievement levels.

"It does concern us that we still have a high number of children that are sitting in the 25 quartile area,” said LeRoy. “But we have to look at it individually by student, by school because we have some schools that have made tremendous gain."

The Florida Association of District School Superintendents says the current accountability system is flawed and incomplete. The State says no test is used as the single determinant for promotion or graduation decisions.
