Troopers have identified the man who died Monday night after being hit by a car while trying to cross U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor.

Alfredo Llana, 42, of Tampa, was hit by a 2013 Mazda in the southbound lanes of U.S. 19, just south of Alderman Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the Mazda was in the left center lane when Llana walked into the path of the car.
