An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a mobile home in Homosassa.

It happened Friday just after 8:30 p.m. at the 9000 block of West Double Tree Court.

When firefighters arrived, they said smoke could be seen coming out of a window.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within 10 minutes and keep the fire from spreading, according to the incident report.

Fire crews from Connell Heights, Sugarmill Woods Homosassa  and Crystal River arrived at the home to assist.

No injuries were reported. 

The damage to the home is estimated at $10,000. According to firefighters, the homeowner didn’t have insurance.

Firefighters are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
