Get ready for thrilling rides, exhibits, good music and enough great food to make your mouth water.

The 112th Florida State Fair returns Feb. 4-15 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Officials say there are countless activities to discover and enjoy, which fits with this year’s theme, “So Much More to Explore.”

Visitors will be able to enjoy several new rides on the Florida State Midway, including the Super Cyclone Roller Coaster, Jungle Twist and Disko, a U-shaped roller coaster that swings back and forth on the track.

Music lovers won’t be left out of the festivities: Gary Puckett and country singer Colt Ford are among the artists slated to headline this year’s concerts. The popular Elvis Extravaganza will be back, as will Beatlemania Live.

And it wouldn’t be a fair if food wasn’t mentioned. Officials have promised new twists on fair favorites, including burgers and pizza for adventurous foodies.

“As the first State Fair in the country, the Florida State Fair has introduced some of the most unique food creations,” said Charles C. Pesano, executive director of the Florida State Fair Authority. “Over the years, food has become an extremely important part of the fair experience, and our vendors work very hard to bring fairgoers the newest, most delicious foods. We’re always excited to taste the latest creations.”

To get everyone excited about the fair ahead of opening day fair, officials invited the public to vote for the most enticing burger in the People’s Choice Burger Contest. 

Voters were able to choose from four burgers:

  • French Toast Burger
  • Ice Cream Burger
  • Redneck Burger
  • Bacon Bomb Explosion Burger

After all the votes were tabulated, the Bacon Bomb Explosion Burger was chosen as the winner. The Redneck Burger was named runner-up.

The Florida State Fair is at 4802 U.S. 301 N in Tampa.

$7 for seniors (must be used Feb. 8-12)
$9 for adults
$5 for children ages 6-11
Children 5 years and younger are free.
