The Safety Harbor Public Library is seeking historical photos of the city.

The library wants photos with historical significance, particularly about the downtown area prior to 1985.

The library will scan and digitize the photographs and provide residents with high-quality digital images.

Some of the photos will be added to the digital history collection, which is avaialble online. They may also be used for the city's 2017 centennial celebration.

To share your photos, drop them off at the library or mail them to:

Safety Harbor Public Library
Attn: Local History
101 2nd St. N
Safety Harbor, FL 34695

A signed waiver is required and can be found online at safetyharborlibrary.com.

All photos will be returned to the owner, along with a digitized image.

Officials say they cannot accept personal photos without historical significance, nor will they digitize personal collections.
