Two people were in injured Sunday during the SuperBoat National Championship races off Clearwater Beach when one of the racing boats flipped, according to Clearwater Fire and Rescue.

Officials said around 12:30 p.m. one of the SuperBoats competing in an offshore race flipped. Two people who were on the boat were transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment. No information on their condition has been released.

In an unrelated incident just a half hour later, a woman swimming near a spectator boat was pulled from the water when she reportedly suffered some kind of seizure. She was also transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No further information is available on either of these incidents at this time.
