Four families were displaced Saturday after a fire damaged a townhome complex in Tampa, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

At 3:15 a.m., firefighters received a call about a structure fire at 3913 West Sligh Avenue.  When crews arrived, they say heavy fire and smoke coming from one of the units at the townhome complex.

Firefighters searched the building for victims, but didn’t find anyone inside.

It took firefighters nearly an hour to put out the fire.

According to HCFR, all four units were damaged by the fire and four families were displaced.

The Red Cross is assisting the families.

No injuries were reported, firefighters said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
