HCSO said Brandon Douglas Collett was operating a motorcycle on Boyette Road.

Authorities said he drove in between two vehicles as he was approaching the intersection of Balm Riverview Road.

Alisha Rae Gaffney was driving a vehicle westbound on Boyette Road, attempting to turn left and travel south. She pulled into the path of the motorcycle and was hit on the passenger side, authorities said.

Collett was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene after he was ejected from the motorcycle, according to investigators. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gaffney had an "odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her mouth and admitted to having consumed alcohol," authorities said in a news release.

Gaffney agreed to a blood draw and could be charged based on the result, investigators said.
