An 18-year-old man was found dead in Palmetto Sunday night.

- Alexander Anderson found with upper body gunshot wound
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, a driver spotted Alexander Anderson on the east side of 1st Avenue in a pool of blood just before midnight.
Anderson, who suffered a gunshot to the upper body, was dead when deputies arrived.
The Manatee Homicide Investigative Unit is investigating the shooting.
