Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump both know how important Florida is for their chances of winning the White House. That has the candidates and their surrogates crisscrossing Florida right down to the end of the campaign.

On Monday, GOP vice presidential candidate Mike Pence will travel the I-4 corridor, beginning with a campaign rally at the Space Coast Auditorium in Cocoa at noon. He's scheduled to host a private meeting afterward with leaders from the aerospace industry.

Pence will then head to Maitland for a rally at 3:30 p.m. at the Maitland Civic Center before wrapping up a full day of campaigning with an appearance in Clearwater on Monday night.

On Tuesday, Clinton returns to Florida, making stops in Tampa, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.

Florida could still go either way for Clinton or Trump, a Bay News 9/News 13 Florida Decides exclusive poll has found.

Clinton has a slim lead over Trump, 48 percent to 45 percent, in the race for the presidency, but 6 percent of the respondents said they would vote for a minor-party candidate if the election were held today, the exclusive statewide Florida Decides poll determined.

While Trump campaigned in Michigan during the weekend, Pence held a rally in Indiana on Sunday before traveling to Florida. Clinton spent Sunday holding an event in Broward County.

"I want you to know I am focused on one thing: you," Clinton told the South Florida crowd Sunday night. "Your lives, your future. What keeps you up at night, that's what I'm interested in and that is what I am going to be talking about here today and the next nine days."

Clinton will be in Ohio on Monday, while her running mate, vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, will be in North Carolina.

Also, former President Bill Clinton will be in Pinellas County on Tuesday and Vice President Joe Biden will stump for Hillary Clinton in Tampa on Wednesday.
