Citrus Connection has announced that the Americans with Disabilities Act service that runs in the Lakeland service area on weekdays has been added to operate on Saturdays, starting Nov. 5.

- Citrus Connections provides more than 2,000 ADA trips monthly
This is a first-come, first-served service. ADA-eligible riders are asked to call the Citrus Connection Regional Mobility Call Center at (855) POLK BUS (765-5287) to reserve a seat for the door-to-door service.
The limited service will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and reservations can be made from seven days to 24 hours prior to the scheduled trip.
Citrus Connection provides more than 2,000 ADA trips monthly to the Lakeland service area for qualified elderly and disabled clients.
"We recognize that Saturday service is vitally important to people who have weekend medical appointments or for those who need to get out on the weekends for shopping or to fill prescriptions," Citrus Connection Executive Director Tom Phillips said.
