Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay area weather for Saturday evening into Sunday.

  • Warm, muggy temperatures
  • Lows in the 70s
  • Clearing conditions Sunday

Matthew continues to move away from the region, leaving a northwest flow persisting across the area.

The high level moisture has moved out of the area, taking the rain away for a while. Temperatures will remain rather warm and muggy tonight, with lows in the 70s.

With Matthew moving away, high pressure to the northwest will build into the area Sunday, bringing clearing conditions. Winds will be out of the north. This will allow some lower dew points to slide south through Florida during the day.

It will still be breezy, especially along the coast. High temperatures will again be in the mid 80s.

Sunday night, the drier air will allow temperatures to drop into the upper 60s across Tampa Bay. Winds veer northeast on Monday and continue generally from that direction through the rest of the week.
