- Motorcyclist died at the scene
A 1988 motor home driven by Richard Cummings, 67, of Rock Falls, Illinois, was traveling northbound on County Road 557, deputies said. The motor home turned left onto the on-ramp for Interstate 4 westbound. A portion of the trailer that was attached to the motor home was still on CR 557 when a black motorcycle hit it.
The trailer detached from the motor home. Kristen Pierre, 22, of Haines City, was ejected from the motorcycle.
Pierre, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene. Cummings was not injured.
The southbound lanes of CR 557 were closed for several hours while deputies conducted their investigation.
