USF police said a female student claimed that two white men in their early 20's stole her jewelry near the Interdisciplinary Science Building shortly after 9 a.m.

A campus text went out to students, but at this time police officers don't have any suspects.

The two white men are described with having blonde hair. One male has shoulder length hair and was wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts.

The second male was wearing gray sweat pants and a dark blue shirt.

The victim was not injured during the incident and the investigation is still ongoing.

USF police are asking students to follow these safety tips:

  • Walk or jog with a friend whenever possible
  • Stay alert and tuned-in to your surroundings
  • Walk or jog in well-lit areas; stay away from alleys
  • Do not listen to earphones while out alone, as this minimizes your ability to hear an approaching threat
  • Tell someone where you are going and when you will return
