Here's a look at the forecast for the Tampa area covering the overnight hours heading into Thanksgiving week:

  • Upper 30s to mid 40s overnight around Tampa Bay
  • Frost possible in northern areas
  • Temperatures climb to around 70 during the day Monday

This evening is getting chilly very quickly as cool air is still moving in. Clear skies, dry air and light northerly winds will bring the lowest temperatures of this season tonight.

Lows will bottom out in the lower 30s across interior sections of the Nature Coast during early morning, where frost is possible. The Tampa Bay area will drop to the upper 30s inland to mid 40s for Tampa.

Monday will start off chilly, but with sun, temperatures will climb to around 70. Winds will be lighter.

Temperatures will again drop off quickly for the evening. Lows Monday night will still be in at least the upper 30s for the Nature Coast to upper 40s around Tampa Bay.  Some patchy frost will be possible north of Tampa.

Very dry air will persist through Wednesday, with mainly clear nights and mostly sunny days as high pressure surface and aloft remains in control. The high will slowly shift eastward toward the Atlantic late Tuesday into Wednesday, causing the flow to shift east, as well. The cool dry air mass will slowly modify back toward normal during the day Wednesday.
