Students at Gulf High School skipped their Thanksgiving morning with their families to make sure families in need had a proper Thanksgiving meal.

They spent 12 hours Wednesday cooking up 28 turkeys and enough food for hundreds of people in need for Thanksgiving.

“It makes me feel happy that we can do this for them, because everyone deserves something. It’s really important for everyone to come together especially at these times,” said one student.

The school packed up the rest of the food and will be bringing it to the Salvation Army today.
