A Bay News 9 viewer sent us a picture, they said taken at State Road 590 and McMullen Booth.

In late October, a rhesus monkey was spotted near Hudson Beach in Pasco County, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

FWC officials warned people at the time not to get near or touch the monkey or try to attract it, and that they should secure their trash.

Since the October incident, monkey sightings have been reported in the Lansbrook neighborhood of Palm Harbor and the East Lake Woodlands area of Oldsmar.

It's not known whether the sightings are of the same monkey, but the "rhesus macaque" is not native to Florida.

Anyone who has seen it is encouraged to call FWC's Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-3922 or the the Exotic Species Hotline at 1-800-266-7883.
